]]> Ohio legislators and business leaders gathered in Sandusky, Ohio for the biennial policy conference
hosted by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. On Thursday, August 10th, 2023, the Ohio Marine Trades
Association (OMTA) took great pride in sponsoring the recreational boating activity. The exceptional
event was made possible through the contributions of OMTA members and staff, who graciously
donated their time, expertise, and, most importantly, boats to ensure the afternoon’s success. An
expression of gratitude goes out to the following OMTA members for their invaluable resources:
Catawba Moorings, Clemons Boats, Pier 53 Marine, South Shore Marine, SkipperBuds, and True North Yacht Sales.

The conference activity drew approximately 20 lawmakers, among them key figures from House and
Senate leadership, alongside prominent community leaders representing Shores and Islands Ohio,
Cedar Fair, and others. Adding to the event’s prestige, a former Lt. The Governor of Ohio was in
attendance. The day was filled with exploration of the attractions that Lake Erie has to offer, including
captivating exhibits on Put-In-Bay as part of Lake Erie Awareness Day.
